Birthday Party I
Sábado fomos no aniversário de uma pessoa muito querida. A festinha era surpresa e foi no Vera Mae's Bistro, que é um lugar super elegante, decorado com obras de artistas locais e tem no cardápio a Fusion Cuisine. Tudo estava uma delícia, a festa foi ótima e aproveitamos pra tirar fotinhas dos nossos looks.
Saturday we went to a birthday party of a very dear person. It was a surprise party at Vera Mae's Bistro, which is a very elegant place, and is decorated with art from local artists. The menu features Fusion Cuisine that is just delicious. Everything was yummy, the party was great and here are some pictures for you to enjoy! Alice in Wonderland
Gente, não se preocupem, eu não estou louca não viu, sei que o halloween já foi mas como não deu para postar antes minha foto com a fantasia que usei, então fica a dica agora, quem sabe não surge alguma festinha a fantasia pra vocês irem. Eu amo Alice no País das Maravilhas, então nada melhor do que ir fantasiada de Alice né! Tive que adaptar a fantasia e usar manga comprida porque o frio estava demais. Ah, enquanto fazia esse post lembrei da fotinha que tirei na escultura Alice in Wonderland no Central Park em NY e resolvi mostrar pra vocês.
Everyone, do not worry, I am not crazy! I know Halloween is already long gone, but since I was not able to post my picture with the costume I wore back then, here is an idea of costume because who knows when a costume party will come along. I love Alice in Wonderland, so nothing better than dress as Alice, right?! I had to change the costume a little bit by putting a white long sleeved shirt underneath because it was way too cold out! Writing this post reminded me of the picture I took at the Alice in Wonderland sculpture at Central Park in New York, and so I wanted to add that too! Hope you all enjoy!!!

Petit Vases
Se eu parar pra pensar quem eu conheço no Brasil que coleciona alguma coisa, hummm, é um pouco difícil lembrar de alguém, talvez alguma tia minha. Em compensação aqui nos EUA é muito comum para as pessoas colecionarem objetos e passarem esses objetos de geração para geração. Dessa maneira a coleção fica cada vez mais única e especial. Depois que mudei pra cá posso dizer que peguei um pouquinho dessa mania. Eu digo um pouquinho porque na verdade a única coleção que deu certo mesmo até agora é a que a minha irmã Cybelle carinhosamente apelidou de Petit Vasinhos, rsrsr. Comecei comprando o primeiro vasinho em uma feira de antiguidades e depois desse não consegui mais parar. Hoje a coleção ainda é pequena, mesmo porque eles são usados mais para decoração mas mesmo assim fico sempre de olhos bem abertos para mais aquisições. Então fica a idéia pra quem pensa em começar sua própria coleção, uma dica legal é visitar feira de antiguidades, casa dos avós, ou até mesmo em viagens pois todos esses lugares são uma ótima fonte de inspiração.

On the other hand, here in the USA is very common for people to collect objects and pass them from generation to generation. This way the collection becomes more unique and special. After I moved here, I can say that I got a little bit of this craze. I say a little bit because truly the only collection that worked for me until now is the one my sister Cybelle kindly calls Petit Vases, lol. I started buying my first little vase at an Antique mall, and after that I could not stop anymore. Today my collection is still small, because they are mostly used for decoration, however I still keep my eyes wide open for new pieces. So here is an idea for those who think about starting their own collection. Visiting antique malls, flea markets, grandparents house, or even during trips, because all those places are great places for inspiration. Please leave comments, we love to know your opinion!!!
